hi jorge,
thanks for being patient with me. but currently my
life is a chaos.

1)
ok, the third column is the overtime of that database.
in the "Hours DB Prefereces" of a V18 database you
can set "compute overtimes" on and set a default
time per record. when computing the total
values:

overtime = (number of records * default time per
record) - actual total
time.

here an example (image the following records in the
database):
if you have (compute overtime on and) set the "Regula
hours to 7:00"

date begin
end total
--------------------------------------------
1.2.01 8:00 9:00
1:00 -> -6:00
2.2.01 6:00 18:00
12:00 -> +5:00
3.2.01 1:00 13:00
12:00 -> +5:00

on the summery form the total value is computed,
the third collum show then for the above
db: -> +4:00

unfortunatelly this feature is not available on all
database (only on V18)
and thus on the summary dialog this will appaer only
on those dbs.

possibility to have an appointment
with more than 23:55 h duration
> For example:
>Date: 8/2/02 Begin: 8:00
>Date: 9/2/02 End: 12:00
>(Total Time: 28 hours)

hm ... ok, it this this would be a new
databaseformat. but possible.
however it will take me some time. if you want you
can make a feature
request at http://sourceforge.net/projects/hours/ so
i'll never forget this ;-)

have a nice saturday,
pete
