Pasting annotated capture into MS Office Apps creates black border
a screenshot and annotation tool

When annotating a capture, it seems that copying the result via the clipboard and pasting it into an MS Office application results in a black border where it should be transparent.
When doing the same thing to paint.net, there is no border (or is white as expected).
I assume this is due to the MS clipboard not liking the "transparent" colour, but is there any way of forcing this to white (or another colour) if required, so that an intermediate step of saving the file first, and then importing it into an Office app is not required?
I'm using MS Office 365and paint.net 4.0.6 on Windows 7 64bit.
Please let me know if you need any more details.
Attached is an example from Outlook.
I'm new to Hotshots, but why should there be a border at all? There must be something I'm missing...
