Make use of PCM for muting/unmuting, and adjust volume,
imstead of the master in the mixer. This helps when
using 5.1 or similar technologies, cause it switches
volume on all channels on or off, or adjust it. Hope
this is usefull for others too. :)

was looking for. Maybe we can take the extensibility to
another level. I think simplest would be to allow the user
to specify the channel number or channel name, which should
be manipulated.
This could be specified on the command line via switch or
maybe in one of the config xml files.
