I have always gotten errors about the Net::SSH::Perl cpan module... I have loaded it from cpan command line twice.. Once regular and once forced... I have loaded it from ports and from a download... I know I have read on here that others have had this problem but from their fixes none have worked for me... this is the error in the httpd-error.log:
Can't locate object method "new" via package "Net::SSH::Perl" (perhaps you forgot to load "Net::SSH::Perl"?) at mods/signup.pl line 239.
here is line 239 from signup.pl:
What do I need to do for perl/cpan to recognize Net::SSH::Perl ?????
this is the package which shows in /var/db/pkg: bsdpan-Net-SSH-Perl-1.30
FreeBSD 6.2, apache+mod_ssl-1.3.37+2.8.28, mysql 5.0.27, perl 5.8.8 and version 2.05 GNUHH
thanks to all
Odds are the module didn't build correctly. There are many depandancies and one that seems to get missed when trying to install it is gmp-devel packages. This is a must have to build the other encryptions modules then the net-ssh module. Here is a list of perl modules not found in all distros that are required for various functions, most of them apply to net-ssh:
perl-Math-GMP v 2.15
perl-Data-Structure-Util v 0.12-0
perl-Crypt-SSLeay v 0.57-0
only those three I missed... now running Net-SSH-Perl with force to reinstall
up to the third test t/03-packet it sits at ok - 1/10 for hours? any Idea why??
I'm not sure, I built the rpms from source skipping the make test. If using cpan use the notest option or whatever its called so that it wont run the tests and sit there for hours.
