I am trying to get version 3.1 to run with homesight version 2.20 (Release 2.6.13) I have noticed a couple of issues.
1) with the upgrade of the software from the cd version 2.01 to the 2.2 version the path for homesight gets moved around ... become drive:\Program Files\Motorola homesight\Motorola homesight\HomesightRemote, yes it does put it in the 2nd motorola homesight directory, easy enough to move homesightremote to the directory and fix that issue...
2) after doing the copy I run the homesightremote.jar and it looked good untill I view event log with pics.. and well the copy job doesnt copy the archive directory from the data dir so you get the events and no pics.. if you copy the pics in they show... watching the verbose output it doesnt show it copying the archive folder. this once again might be different with the version of homesight you are running, I noticed with the 2.2 install it does a update to the usb device with a new flash of some sort.
3) if you try to use video captures vs pics it give a java error when you try to goto the event logs with or without pics and dies... I dont think it can handle the capture event info. if I clear the event logs and change the device to capture an image and it will show event log again.
if you would like more info please let me know

Hi Larry,
Thanks very much for the information. This does sound like something I could fix quite easily. Can you tell me where you obtained Homesight 2.2 from?
Thanks,
Tris
