Homesight Remote
By Tristan Phillips

IMPORTANT: This software needs to be installed on a machine running Motorola Homesight.
Before installing make sure you know where Homesight is installed. This software needs to be installed in its
own directory in the same folder as the data and log directories of Motorola Homesight.
The defaults configured for the installer work fine with the UK version of Homesight.

Ensure that .jar files are configured to run using the java Runtime.
You can use VerboseMode.bat to run the software if you have issues with the above statement.

To run, ensure you have the latest Java runtime (www.java.com) and double click on the HomesightRemote.jar.
Open your browser to http://localhost:8082

If you have broadband and use an modem router, you can use a service such as dyndns (www.dyndns.org) to assign a dynamic DNS name to your machine which will always point to your broadband IP. If however you have a static IP address, you may not need to worry about that.
Assuming you assign the name me.dnydns.com to your IP, you could then access your HomesightRemote interface from any machine by visiting http://me.dyndns.com:8082.
Remember to allow traffic on port 8082 through your router to the Homesight machine.
Your router should have a dynamic dns update facility built in.

If you have problems, try using the VerboseMode.bat. Post any issues to the sourceForge forums.

The default username and password is HomesightRemote & supertux.
You can generate a new username and password combination using the included "Hasher" tool. At a command prompt enter:
> hasher -m B64 -v [Username]:[Password] (the : is important!)
Paste the resulting hash into the file named creds.
