Great to see some activity here!

As the original author, I have no objection to you taking over managing the  
project for now; in fact, I'd be glad, as I haven't been doing any managing  
myself recently. I might get involved again at some point in the future,  
but the power belongs with the people who do the work, in this case. No  
objections against git either; the only thing I would miss if things move  
away from Google is the issue-tracker.
