We haven't done much work on HOC recently (especially I haven't gotten 
around to making it work with 6.4 yet - the CVS version should work 
with a GHC snapshot from a few months ago), but HOC is not yet dead. 
Rather, it's not yet quite alive enough - it probably still has more 
developers than users, as you can see from the mailing list archives.
I'm cc-ing the hoc-users list now in an effort to fill the archives :-).

I hope I'll find some time to fix things soon - feel free to e-mail me 
again now and then to remind me [and to motivate me :-)].
