#7 Tab key inconsistent behaviour

When I press the TAB key, it nevers obeys the tab
width. So if I put 4 in the tab with option, pressing TAB
key in the editor moves the cursor to a "random"
position. Sometimes 8 spaces from where is located,
sometimes 1, etc...

I use the SynEdit control http://synedit.sf.net/ and this is
bug in the SynEdit framework that currently it doesn't
support real tabbing. This bug will be fixed shortly.

It's a feature, not a bug.

Try turning off Smart Tabs in Tools > Options > Options
