Hi, It's more a question about HL7 than about HAPI : there is something=20 unclear with the XON datatype. In the spec, section A.3.2, and in HAPI,=20 XON is composed of an <ID Number (NM)>. However, elsewhere, in the=20 sections where this datatype is used, the third components becomes <ID=20 number (ID)>. See for instance the following excerpt (same thing at=20 3.3.5.13, 3.3.9.3, etc.). * 3.3.4.23 Clinic organization name (XON) 00724* Components: <organization name (ST)> ^ <organization name type code=20 (ID)> ^ <ID number (ID)> ^ <check digit (NM)> ^ < check digit scheme=20 (ID)> ^ <assigning authority (HD)> ^ <identifier type code (ID)> ^=20 <assigning facility (HD)> ^ <name representation code (ID)> Subcomponents of assigning authority: <namespace ID (IS)> &=20 <universal ID (ST)> & <universal ID type (ID)> Subcomponents of assigning facility: <namespace ID (IS)> &=20 <universal ID (ST)> & <universal ID type (ID)> Definition: This field contains the organization name or sub-unit=20 and identifier that is associated with the (visit) episode of care. For=20 example, the Allergy or Oncology Clinic within the facility might be name= d. As my organization names are alphanumeric, I prefer the second=20 interpretation.
