Sorry about the delay -- I'm just catching up on mail after getting back
from my honeymoon.  The 2.1 classes are coming with HAPI version 0.4.  I
keep promising this will be out really soon, so I wouldn't believe me.  But
honestly, real soon ;)  If you want to fudge this in the mean time, you
could intercept the message strings and replace "2.1" with "2.2".  

If you want to send a low volume of test messages to yourself you can use
ca.uhn.hl7v2.app.TestPanel, but I don't seem to have a high-volume driver
(although I'm pretty sure I wrote one at one point).  Would you like to
share yours?
