I've been playing with HAPI recently at work and, after scaling the
learning curve, am very impressed. Good work, Bryan (and anyone else
involved).
Unfortunately, due to external constraints, it looks like my project
may end up running in a 1.3 JVM. I noticed that the current version
uses "java.util.regex" and other things which were added to the core
API only in 1.4. Would an older version of HAPI, perhaps, run in 1.3?
Would such a downgrade significantly degrade stability, performance,
or features (e.g., the "Terser")?
