Joe,
It seems you may be having CLASSPATH problems. However, without seeing
the exact error messages, I can't be totally sure what issue is. I've
attached a screenshot that shows how I imported the HAPI source into
eclipse. It seems from your screenshot you just imported the
ca.uhn.hl7v2.app package by selecting the app directory. I think you
may need to import the entire source tree, starting with the ca
directory. Also, be sure that you have the required jar on the
classpath (i.e. commons-logging.jar, xercesImpl.jar, etc.).
