For different reasons, we will no longer maintain the concept of making individual "releases" for HitKeeper. Instead, the actual version of the software is available *only* through svn from now on.
To download the current (latest) version of HitKeeper, simply use the following command:
svn co https://hitkeeper.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/hitkeeper hitkeeper
If you have already checked out a copy of HitKeeper, simply run "svn update" to upgrade your distribution ... and please, read the README files :-))... read more
This is the first "full" release that has Oracle connectivity in addition to MySQL. A number of other refinements have been made, such as preparation of web services, introduction of timeout, handling of Ctrl-C, plus many other little fixes and refinements. Have fun!
The first paper that "officially" describes HitKeeper is now published: J. Hau, M. Muller, M. Pagni. HitKeeper, a generic software package for hit list management. Source Code for Biology and Medicine 2 (2007), 2. This is an Open Access article, available at http://www.scfbm.org/qc/content/2/1/2.
2007-02-05 is an "optimization" release, with some bugfixes, improved documentation, etc. No changes to the database scheme.
This is a minor release - some small bug fixes, but a number of improvements in the code. Packaging of the tarball was changed to include only "core" files.
An improved release of HitKeeper, 20061010, is now online. Some of the key improvements:
- optimized database scheme
- refined query engine, now with full-text queries (!)
- WebService connectivity
- testset data are now part of the distribution
- plus many little fixes and things ;-)
An improved release of HitKeeper, 20060407, is now online.
Besides minor fixes, this includes now the capability of running two instances of the loader in parallel (e.g. for databases with "high" and "low" priority), and a testsuite for the queries.
The first public release of HitKeeper, 20060315, is now online :-)
