This Wi-Fi simulator won't evolve any more due to lack of time.
As such it is far more user friendly than Opnet or NS3.
It is a companion to the book "802.11ac, a review of the standard" by Jean-Pierre Le Rouzic.
This simulator runs on Java and uses the Jemula event simulator and Jemula802.
