The EQ Parametric audio effect introduces a significant
delay to audio tracks, and causes video and audio to
To reproduce the problem:
1. Video tape a single hand clap. Record audio in
stereo. Import into Cinelerra.
2. Add EQ Parametric to only one audio track. Configure
as a single high-pass filter at 660 Hz (maybe that's
not crucial, but it's what I did).
3. Play. Observe that audio now has two hand claps
separated by around 0.28 sec.
It would be nice if applying the nudge was not
necessary. Nudges apply to entire tracks, while the EQ
Parametric effect may be applied to only part of a track.
Work around: After applying the EQ Parametric effect to
an audio track, nudge the track forward by +0.28 sec
(that what worked for me, and my audio was recorded at
48000 samples/sec). Also apply same nudge to each
