I'm thinking of writing two pure virtual base classes as proxies /
adapters. One for setting options and one for doing actual work. What would
effectively amount to 'interfaces" if we were talking Java.
"Inserting" these "in between" the existing code, interfacing to other
spellcheckers, will be easier.
Wasn't there talk of a SPELL32.DLL? This is not 3rd party code but one
build by one of the projects right?

ssce.h is a Wintertree Software Inc. copyrighted header that was not (and should not have been) included in the open-sourcing. I happen to have a copy because I used SSCE in another project but we are not free to use that in Hermes.
