Is there some reason why news about Aurora is not being posted here? It seems to me that this location is a more appropriate home for the project than a crowd funding website.
Also, as a condition for me making a substantial contribution to the project some time ago, I asked Nick to commit to releasing a fully functioning interim version of Hermes with UTF-8 support, free of charge, to the public. He agreed to do that, so I went ahead and sent him money.
Now more recent pronouncements from Nick seem to indicate that all we are going to get is a single copy of a beta version of the software. If that's the case, that does not comply with Nick's prior commitment.
So please provide details on how the previous commitment to release a fully-functioning, UTF-8 supporting, interim version of Hermes, free of charge, to the general public, will be upheld.
Thanks.

That is indeed what will happen, but only once testing finishes. That
won't be an interim version, it'll be a gold release. Since you're
already a tester (crowdfunded), you'll get the test version ahead of
everyone else.

That is not the case. What you are going to get is a "seat at the
table" (i.e., influence in the direction of Aurora as a tester) if you
crowdfund. If not, you still get a "free" (pay-what-you-want,
including zero) version once the test phase is over. Everyone will
get HERMES Aurora 8.0, 8.5, etc.... just some will get it earlier than
others.

I simply did not carefully read the full text on the IndieGoGo site. Having done that now, I see that your explanation is clear and it does comply with what you had agreed to.
I apologize for my error.
Thank you.

I received your email concerning use of Signal to communicate with the Hermes Aurora team. I highly object to being required to use Signal for this purpose. Signal requires a smart phone (yes, there is a Windows version but a smart phone is still required to establish a Signal account, and the Windows version of Signal requires a 64-bit operating system, which I do not have). I don't have a smart phone and, God willing, I never will. Frankly, this project really does not require the level of security that Signal provides.
Further, at least one person who succeeded in signing into Signal to look at the project did not find any opportunity to download the HERMES Aurora software there, as expected.
I've already contributed quite a bit of money to this project. I object to being required to purchase a smart phone and maintain cell service in order to participate in the project or obtain my copy of the software that I have been promised.
Please provide a conventional channel that I can use on an ordinary Windows 32-bit operating system to enable communication and receipt of the software. Thank you.

No problem, Sir, we'll be releasing via e-Mail shortly.
Signal users already have the software now (the link was sent out
yesterday, and instructions on how to use it). We'll be doing the
same via e-Mail for those people who don't wish to use Signal (you're
not alone in this regard).
But everyone else will have it also (today or tomorrow).

Ted,
I did contribute in one of the early funding rounds, but you seem to have
moved the project around different funding locations and so some of the old
discussions are out there orphaned. Great that you are now on source-forge.
As I was an early donor, and there was a promise of an alpha-release I
think (it was a few years ago now), I was wondering whether you have me in
your distribution list?
No problem, Sir, we'll be releasing via e-Mail shortly.
