Is it just me or is this Sourceforge discussion area seriously out of
date? It is almost impossible to find a post on the web version to reply
to. And to create a new topic, you have to create an e-mail.
Then we have the issue of threads that wander off into unrelated topics,
which is a user issue. The first point above would not be such an issue
if people created a new topic to discuss other issues rather than
reusing an existing thread.

I think that might be because it is so awful to use. Easier to reply to
an e-mail than to go to the web site. :-(

What platform are you on? MAC I presume? Don't know the favorite IRC client
there. On Linuxes it's irssi, on Windows I guess Mirc.
logon to FREENODE
irc.freenode.org
Set a nick with the /nick <sdfsdf> command. If it isn't taken, register it
with the "/msg chanserv register ..." command. It's not strictly necessary,
but it'll make it easier for me to autoop you when you enter the channel.</sdfsdf>

I'm partly, if not entirely, to blame for that. That's why I called for
merging of threads or starting new ones, with aptly names titles.
