As of today my Hermes Eudora no longer works with GMail. When I attempt to access my account using Hermes I get an error message stating that my Username and Password is not accepted. Does Hermes have a fix for this or is Eudora finally done?

As posted here before, you need to go into your Google account, turn on 2 Factor Authentication, then find the option to create an "App Specific Password," and then start using that password within Eudora instead of the password your previously used (which was your Google sign-in password).
