Well, everyone, first of all, I'm sorry for the disappearance. Despair can be a powerful de-motivator. As if the schedule slippage for our primary project wasn't good enough, there was Mr Thygesen's illness (necessitating daily treatment), and then a second product, for which I had to purchase a distribution licence, refused to compile and package, because a few methods required the old and unsupported Java 6. An operating system crash took out my carefully-written NSIS script for the HERMES SSL extensions... I hope everyone understands that all of this prompted me to take some time out, re-play all of Mass Effect and half of Mass Effect 2. Anyway, I'm back, and ready for action!
I hope this didn't impair everyone's productivity. Mr Thygesen in particular: how are you with your SQL-ised mail client? Other parts of the project? I know you are working both ways on this, and we'll talk about it, if you've made any progress on either.
Mr McLean: has SSL 1.3 come out yet? If not, are there improvements to the SSL Extensions regardless? I think I have a handle on this Nullsoft scripting thing, so I could probably create the installer tonight. I'm just not sure if I'm including the newest version of our DLL.
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
I am working on this (updating Hermes QCSSL for TLS 1.3) but, because of changes and deprecations in the latest OpenSSL releases, it is not a simple matter of making a new build. It will take some work and some time...

OpenSSL with support for TLS 1.3 is indeed available and I will update the Hermes QCSSL to support it.
Pete

Understood. I'll be sure to pass the word and catch the fire.
Welcome back and anything worth doing always takes "some time."
