My plan is to connect a CRitchEditView to a CdockablePane, containing
address info and attachments (contained in a CDocument) and connected by a
GUID. This way several e-mails can be open simultaneously, as in a proper
SDI app.
The settings will also be contained in a multi tab dockable pane instead of
a classic property sheet. We have a MAPI client build in so as far as Pete
has lead me to understand all we need is a POP3 server snd various
encryption protocolß.
Progress is a good thing (as opposed to Congress?). I'm sorry I was locked out of the loop for a while, because I had unwittingly unsubscribed from the forum. That's fixed now, and you should be getting a deluge of mail from me in respect to the project as a whole.
The multi-tab dockable pane is the essence of the "Wazoo" window (can somebody PLEASE change the name, because we really don't need the signature feature of our project named after the human anus). If you plan to replicate that feature in Hermes Mail... well done, and good luck.
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:

I assure you nothing is coming out of the "wazoo" here. If anything it's
pulled forcibly out the other end and it's going to hurt like hell.
:)
