I get notifications from
eudora-win@hades.listmoms.net
but I only read and rarely, if ever, have anything to contribute.
Most of what's posted are issues with sending/checking email from some providers and installation issues in 64bit evironments.
I run Win10 32-bit in a virtual machine and I am running the Hermes/Eudora version reliably. I prefer the 32bit version because it still supports 16 bit apps that I prefer to use. Also, if you run Hermes/Eudora in 64bit, you lose the way icons display and/or some icons don't display at all.
Sooooo, I will continue to use what I have because it works.
My native OS is Win7 64 bit. I don't use Hermes/Eudora there at all.

If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
You'll enjoy better security with Eudora if you install the QCSLL update that Pete Maclean generously created for the Hermes project, and in all likelihood you'll reach a moment in time when your particular email host will no longer work with Eudora unless you've updated to this new QCSSL library, because most hosts have been dropping TLS 1.0 support, and Eudora can only start supporting TLS 1.1 and 1.2 after you've installed the Hermes QCSSL.
No need to make any other changes. You'll still be running the original 32-bit Eudora in its entirety, save for the QCSSL.dll library and three other updated files (libeay32.dll, ssleay32.dll, rootcerts.p7b) which also update your certificate store.
