It looks kinda sexy doesn't it? :)
No, actually, it doesn't. I feel like the metadata (From/To/CC/Subject)
should span the width of the window UNLESS attachments are present. If
attachments are present, they should be listed in a combobox in exactly the
same place as the HERMES logo, but only 25% of the width of the window (the
other 75% should be taken up by metadata).
Also: if you're going to be using HERMES design assets (logos, icons, etc.)
please don't resize PNG's directly. The authoritative HERMES logo is
located in https://bitbucket.org/team-hermes/hermes-mail-documentation/src/default/Art/
Use the SVG images, convert to PNG from within Inkscape. That way, you
can resize each individual element appropriately. Doing what you did gives
it an ugly "stretched out" look.
In addition, the HERMES Mail logo has changed in the meantime (we're using
a slightly different shade of blue, and we've added wings).
Well, I kinda had no choice but resize the logo as the user resizes the
window, but, if you don't like it consider it scrapped. I just thought it
made for a filler where there was nothing at all.

Well, My mistake is perhaps that I'm looking at the "large" logo. And that has to be resized to act as a splash screen, at least. I also
thought the half of the dockablepane look awfully empty and putting the
logo there resizable as the dockable pane ersizes might be the answer. You
don't like the idea I figure. So be it.
Right now the HERMES app fails wth an Access Violation when closed. One I
can easily fix (If I could upload changes that is. Someone still haven't
verified that the UID and PWD I use are the correct ones? The only other
exaplanation I can come up with is that I'm using my cell phone as a
hotspot but, it's worked in the past, so why not now?
Also, What I would like to attack next is using some of the code from the
Eudora part to actually make HERMES send and re3ceive emails. Also maybe
extend a CEdit box to get some of the functionality shown by gmail. I get
the feeling we all agree that a little bling here and there isn't bas.
