Ok. After tonight I have all the app settings down like I wanted: in a
floatable, dockable pane. They should really be stored to the registry,
considering how tightly bound to Windoze this app is but, for now at least,
they're just SERIALIZED to a binary file.
The KISS principle in action, I guess.
I will then, more or less, recreate the menu (I'm good on my way there
already.)
After having checked how much these settings are verified in the original
program, I'm gonna cannabilize what I can from the working DLLs and static
libraries.
Then turn to toolbars and splash screen.
I will then implement my idea of another floatable/dockable/hideable pane
for the immediate message info (to, from, cc, bcc, attachments), making the
entire screen one (or indeed several) big CRichEditView(s).
The Simple MAPI thingy is still there. I dunno. Maybe someone will want to
use it, maybe not. We'll see about thatbI guess.

Well, it looks like we finally have a plan moving forward. I reckon you'll
be working a 30-hour week after the holidays, meaning that I'll have to get
a Web design together very soon, and I should also be on the look out for
testers etc. Do we still anticipate launch in Q1 2019? More January or
more March? Or will I have to write a very contrite eMail to our backers?
For media and public relations purposes, how much commonality of code do
you anticipate? In other words, if someone ran a diff between the non-UI
parts of Eudora and HERMES Mail, would there be a lot of red/green, or just
a little bit?
Finding media to run a review etc. is an awful pain, I'll tell you that
much, but I'm definitely pulling my weight in that department.
