#2 headset jack bypass, 700p?

any chance a version could be made that completely bypasses the jack on the 700p? The jack can fail like the 650, and think a headset is plugged in all the time. VolumeCare supposedly fixes this on the 650, but it does not work (in my case) on the 700p.

If there's any development still being done, of course.
