        Thanks for the additional information. It seems to be a WPF problem not specific to HDGraph.

        1/ If you're an advanced window user and familiar with the windows registry, you can try to find the problem according to this post : http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9066930/wpf-window-crashes-on-startup-or-it-starts-but-hangs-and-does-not-render-conten
        Specifically, look in the registry, at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts" to see if some fonts have an invalid character in their path (see the screenshot in the link above).

        2/ If you're NOT familiar with the windows registry, just click on the "Advanced" button and choose "Basic" in the draw engine combo box (see the attached screenshot). This should switch back to the old draw engine which should not have the problem you reported.
