HDgraph is a really useful tool, and I use it every time I need to clean up a PC. I've tried the 1.4 beta on the last such case and it worked pretty well but failed totally on the directory links in user profiles. For some reason the profile I looked at had a recursive "$USER\AppData\Local\Application Data" link to "$USER\AppData\Local\", which caused the analysis of this directory to be pretty worthless.
I really hope you can fix this for the final 1.4!
Best Regards, David
Thank you for your feedback.
This is a known issue. We're trying to solve it with reasonable performance, which is pretty hard. The next version will, at least, have an option allowing to exclude some given folders from scan.
I want to subscribe to that. Would be nice to have an option to exclude joints/links from scan.
I've decided not to wait for a response and added the functionality myself:
The author can merge my changes if he decides they are any good. Seems to work :)
