I had the same problem on Fedora Core 2. I installed koffice-devel and 
made a simbolic link from /usr/lib/kde3 to /opt/kde3/lib. It seems that 
the compilation  ignores the parameters used (--prefix=/usr 
--with-kde-libraries=/usr/lib/kde3).
Also there is the bug that crash Hbasic when you select the file dialog 
and I try to put it in a window (it still exist when I tried other 
versions of hbasic).
I like HBasic a lot and I hope that this will be solved, Marcus keep the 
good work, and please, please solve this bugs :)
