At least, it might help one get a start in linux/qt/kde programming and get an idea for it until they can get more skilled in C++. I would think it would make a good skills migration tool, at least, to ween someone over to the linux way to do things. Like BASIC was for those who never programmed before to eventually learn to program. I started with BASIC, and then went to learn other languages from there (on other plarforms). .:: misfit-x ::.
