I've tried and tried. It's been I think... one day or two is it? I
usually give up if I can't do anything more. I doubt I can spend much
more time on this. It's a great idea. Just won't work on *my* computer -
not the fault of the developer 'cause sometimes those things happen.
I installed the new QT libraries and it said couldn't find the libqt-mt
(-lqt-mt). I checked and I DID have them installed, and listed in
/etc/ld.so.conf - I even did a ldconfig to be sure. Nothing works. :(
If I use the RPMs after installing the new QT and libaraies, devel rpm,
too, then if I try to compile a program the linker crashes saying it
couldn't link and exited with !=0.
I'm not really up to trying to get this to work any further. I have a
dial-up connection and also pretty much just starting so I just don't
want to mess with installing/uninstalling main libraries and stuff
anymore, or taking several hours to download updates to new libraries.
I'll try to learn C++ I guess. But I hope this doesn't discourage the
developer from continuing. While I might not be able to get it working,
I'm seeing others can and they'd probably be more help than I would with
this project anyway.
Thanks for the help anyway. Sorry it didn't work out for me, but I'll
work with C++ now and see if I can learn that.
