Harvest 1.9.0, the first development version of Harvest was released. This marks the opening of the new development tree.

Javier Masa Marin created a new user interface and work is under way to merge the new user interface. Most notable changes of the new user interface include improved paging, support for Dublin Core meta tags, a new displaySOIF written in Perl.

Harald Weinreich has joined the Harvest development team.
