- Turn On: Enables tool for current page in tab.
- Turn Off: Disables tool for current page in tab.
- Disable for "<website>": Always disable tool for given website, i.e. even if "Always On" flag is on, for given website tool will be always disabled. Useful for the case where tool needs to be disabled only for few websites, while for all other websites tool needs to be enabled by default. If the website is already in block list then menu will be checked. If already checked then clicking menu removes website from block list.
- Enable for "<website>": Always enable tool for given website, i.e. even if "Always On" flag is off, for given website tool will be always enabled. Useful for the case where tool needs to be enabled only for few websites, while for all other websites tool needs to be disabled by default. If the website is already in allow list then menu will be checked.If already checked then clicking menu removes website from allow list.

Preferences
- Always On
- Enables tool for all newly opened pages/urls.
- Already opened pages are not affected.
- Block List
- Always disable tool for websites displayed in textbox, i.e. even if "Always On" flag is on, if website is in this list then tool will be disabled. At present this is non-editable field, "Clear" button will clear all websites from this field.
- Allow List
- Always enable tool for websites displayed in textbox, i.e. even if "Always On" flag is off, if website is in this list then tool will be enabled. At present this is non-editable field, "Clear" button will clear all websites from this field.

Select Display Mode
- Classic Mode: Default option, displays word definition with full details.
- Fail-safe Mode:
- If flag is on, then automatically search other dictionary if details not available for given word in currently selected dictionary.
- If flag is off then word suggestions are displayed if found in the response, user can click on the suggested word to perform look-up in current dictionary. Also dictionary list is displayed, user can click on the link to search given word in that dictionary.
- Auto Close:
- Automatically close popup after given seconds.
- Enter 0 to disable this feature, maximum value is 60 seconds.
- Compact Mode: Displays simple definition of the word in compact view.
- Fail-safe Mode:
- If flag is on, automatically switch to Classic Mode if details not available for given word in currently selected dictionary.
- If flag is off then, link is displayed to switch to classic mode manually or display the preference dialog to change settings.
- Auto Close:
- Automatically close popup after given seconds.
- Enter 0 to disable this feature, maximum value is 60 seconds.
- Use the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl + /" to show/hide addon bar
- HDi Status Button:
- Button with label "HDi" displays current status of the tool.
- Green background indicates tool is enabled, if user clicks on the button then tool is temporary disabled for current page.
- Red background indicates tool is disabled, if user clicks on the button then tool is temporary enabled for current page.
- Options Button:
- This is the button with small black square background, next to "HDi" status button.
- It is displayed only for pages with valid domain/host name.
- When mouse is hovered over or clicked on button then popup menu is displayed.
- Popup menu contains options to enable/disable tool for given website. Please refer Disable for webiste and Enable for website menus under Toolbar menus tab.
