i would like to run a series of tests that show the benefits of storage tiering using flash and partitions. for example, i would like to load the data in a non-partititoned config and get timings. then i would want to create the partitions with only a subset of the data in the current partition using ssd, then run another test with that data aged out to hdd and with new data in the ssd disk. is this possible?
    thanks

    Hi,

Not sure why I missed this post. Yes this is entirely possible, you don't mention which database but sometimes the best way to change the configuration is to create the default schema and export it. Then create or modify the new schema in the way you would like partitioned and import the data. Alternatively all of the load and test scripts are all there in an easy to modify script editor window so you can change the configuration how you want in here.

    Cheers,

    Steve
