"Hammerhead2"

Hammerhead2 is a stress testing tool designed to test out
your web server and web site. It can initiate multiple
connections from IP aliases and simulated numerous (256+)
users at any given time. The rate at which Hammerhead2
attempts to pound your site is fully configurable,
there are numerous other options for trying to create
problems with a web site (so you can fix them).

This package consists of an executable and some scripts:

1. Hammerhead

This is the stress testing tools designed to "hammer" a web
site with a known number of and type of requests.

2. scripts

In the bin directory there are some example scripts for
adding IP aliases if you want Hammerhead to be able to
simulate connectios from a number of machines.
There is also a utility to convert an url file to
scenario files.

3. SSL

Not really tested. Code is there (and maybe complete).

of the GNU Public License (Version 2) with a special exemption
for linking with the OpenSSL library. This is described
in the file "Copying" that should have been distributed with 
this product.
