AnyTone sells a Bluetooth hand mic and PTT button that's able to control the rig, but i don't think anyone has documented how it works.

I've managed to pair both a cordless headset and a PTT switch with an Anytone, and as far as I can tell these are standard bluetooth functions.

Hi Steve.

I don't think that radio is capable of being supported by Hamlib.
Radios like that have software that program memories into an EEPROM but
don't have CAT commands to change frequency, mode, or VFO like HF radios
do.  The Chirp project
(https://chirpmyradio.com/projects/chirp/wiki/Home) often provides
support for such radios but I don't see the '578 listed.

It's the design of the radio and whether it supports a command set such
as for the Kenwood TS-480:

that determines whether Hamlib supports it or not.
The Anytone programming app has NO mention whatsoever about any CAT functionality. The Anytone goes into a separate mode while it is under PC control handling data transfer and then the data update.
