Hi Greg. Hamlib does not support the SteppIR directly. As you note, it monitors the serial line and apparently acts on commands it recognizes. I don't know what version of Hamlib was included in WSJT-X 2.6.1 and what changes have occurred since then without knowing the exact Hamlib versions. It seems strange to me that it fails, but I don't have Icom or SteppIR so I cannot test.
