[Hamlib-developer] guidelines or template for adding a new rig?

Some time ago I think I remember someone pointing to a guidelines or 
cookbook document, how to add a new rig to hamlib. But I can't find 
it... Does anyone know of such a thing, or more generally, any detailed 
guidance on how to get started?

I am perhaps one of very few still using a Kachina 505DSP as the main 
daily rig here. There is a bare stub of an implementation - I'd like to 
flesh it out.
