THanks.  Didn't mean to complain that it happened; I know this is all
complicated.

I have updated pkgsrc to hamlib 4.6.1, and removed patches (changing
constness for iterators) from fldigi, freedv and xlog.  So all is well
on my end now, except that I need to update fldigi and freedv to the
most recent releases, and actually try out freedv.
