That change was done 2 years ago and apparently nobody ever tested a C++ build except FLDigi who fixed it on their side. I wasn't aware of any other such C++ programs.l There is no plan to do any such macro changes in the future and was simply a result of changing the data type in another place.The change to that macro in hindsight was a mistake. I am of course having to drop the patches I added for xlog etc. to accomodate the const change. Before I do all that, and withdraw my upstream bug reports, I would like to understand the near-term and longer-term plans surrounding the iterator and types. I am guessing that the type change was overall too disruptive relative to benefits, and that the plan for quite some time is not to reintroduce it.
