[Hamlib-developer] Serial port TCP

Hi Hamlib developer team,

it is possible to connect rigctl to a TCP serial port?

If I have a VSPE or ser2net server that delivers a phisical radio serial 
port on the network, can I specify address:port as argument of the -r 
option or need something else?

If yes, what kind of protocol hamlib supports: raw data or also RFC2217?
