[Hamlib-developer] libhamlibtcl.so

Greetings I was recently delighted to discover
hamlib. Bravo!

Following the INSTALL instructions,
I have compiled the libraries on a Linux system
and succesfully run the test programs against
my ICOM706MKIIG.


I am interested in using the libhamlibtcl.so
to write an interface with Tk. tclsh
is unable to load libhamlibtcl.so complaining 
of an unknown symbol "hamlib_version". It
would appear that it's not finding or linking
to libhamlib.so.


Ideas?
