Hello, Now I have control of the X6100 I tuned to a QSO on40m. So looked at what I could learn. I issued a "l STRENGTH" command and if I was on just band noise or what sounded like a fare signal the DB value didn't change. Although it did when I issued "L PREAMP 10" it lowered the DB level. From -26 to -22. I played with values of NR which didn't appear to have an affect. While the frequency and mode commands act appropriately I am not sure that I am getting the responses from rigctl. Not because rigctl is not sending the command string but because they are not being passed to the appropriate part of the SDR radio. Whether a station was transmitting or if it was just band noise rigctl informed me that the signal strength was -22. Whatever NR level I set, the radio sounded the same. While rigctl is not providing any error messages and changes the values. Is there any debugging I can do to see if such commands are in fact being responded to?
