The following email is from one of my users concerning some problems we are having with the FT-100 and the hamlib libraries. At first we thought this was something in my software in the communications with hamlib under windows, but I had him run a few test using the rigctl test and it appears her is getting the same results using rigctl and I am seeing returned from then DLL. So why can't I get HBO? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joseph A. The frequency does not read properly. It does read properly the first time it is read, but it reports the wrong frequency on alternate polls. I found that if I put the radio on VFO A, set a frequency, then put it on VFO B, set a different frequency, the "f" polling will alternately send the VFO A and VFO B frequencies. However, if I send a VFO read "v" command, it REALLY fouls up the frequency reading, and send gibberish for a frequency. If no VFO read command is sent, it reads properly the alternating VFOs. Here is an example of a rigxml session to show you the problem. In this case I have the radio set to a memory position (not on a VFO), and it is set to 147.495 MHz. C:\>rigctl -m 121 -r com3 Rig command: f Frequency: 147495000 Rig command: f Frequency: 14325000 Rig command: f Frequency: 147495000 Rig command: f Frequency: 14325000 Rig command: v VFO: VFOB Rig command: f Frequency: 2684354558 Rig command: f Frequency: 671088643 Rig command: f Frequency: 2684354558 Rig command: f Frequency: 671088643 Rig command: So, definitely NOT a PNP problem! 73, -Joe- Jeff Steinkamp wrote: > Joe > > I think the problem may be the FT-100 backend.
