The sync-asynch would be the way to go. If the sync speed is slow enough, you may also play bit banging on the parallel port or using the control signals of the serial port. Some Hamlib backends are doing it for rigs controllable on SPI bus and alike. Instead of using mechanical rotator I'm planning to direct antenna to the satellite manually, using Gpredictor as a guide. It can accept (and silently ignore) all "set" commands and report back actual antenna position for "get" commands. Setting up GPREDICT with my IC-7900. It's communicating, but I get several errors. Not sure what to do. Are there additional parameters that I need to add to the command line?
