autofixer is only useful to reconfigure the build process for version 1
libtool. v2 is the default, and "autofixer" really should be changed to
"v1libtool fix" or something.
If you are running v2 libtool, you can ignore autofixer. You are right
that this could all be integrated with autogen.sh, but it didn't evolve that
way. Most developers should be running v2 soon, if not already, so the
"fixer" technology shouldn't be needed for long.
