At this time not yet. Looking at the rigctl source file I see that it
takes the value passed on the command line and stores it in a memory
location defined by the rig backend code. If not, it uses the value set
by the backend code at compile time. The problem you're probably seeing
is that the backend can specify a minimum and maximum port speed (Yaesus
are typically stuck at 4800 bps so the min and max are the same). I
think I read somewhere in the last day or so that the maximum speed is
selected as a default.
So, as a possible work-around I suggest looking at the backend file for
your rig and searching for the .serial_rate_max string. You should find
a numeric value associated with it. Then try configuring your radio to
that speed. I'd be curious if this works.
