I've been playing around with the LNR LD-5. The manufacturer claims that RIG control is the same as the Kenwood 2000. However, when I try and reun rigctl I get a "unknown ID" error. I assume I'll need to make a new rig using the Kenwood 2000 as the base? If that is the case, how do I determine the LD-5 ID so I can place it in the rig?
Edit to add, here is what I was trying to run:
rigctld -m 214 -r /dev/tty.usbserial -s 9600 -v -v
kenwood_open: unknown id type (ID)
rig_open: error = Protocol error
Thanks in advance!

I guess I got a bit further in investigating?
It still looks like I need a new Rig with a matching ID for the LD-5?
