Fldigi - Hamlib unable to connect to Flexradio SmartSDR

Hi all, cannot get Hamlib to talk to SmartSDR 3.1.8 from Fldigi 4.1.11. on Win10. https://groups.io/g/winfldigi/topic/fldigi_hamlib_flexradio/73104328

Any idea how to troubleshoot the "invalid config" ?
