Hello, I am attempting to install HalX 2 on Scientific Linux 5.3 x86. I have found the install guide to be quite good in general. However, I am confused about the "Modify your environment variables" section and where this JAXWS2.1 directory was supposed to come from. It does not seem to be included in the HalX tarball, and the installation directions to not say how to obtain it. I have found the JAX-WS website, but am not sure if this is the JAR file I need. Obviously my server build is failing because it cannot find this JAR in the classpath. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have followed the install instructions for Halx. When I try to access the web page I get the following error: The requested URL /hal-admin/update.php was not found on this server. When I add HAL infront of /hal-admin/update.php the page opens but it will not write to the files it is suppose to as it can not find the directory.=20 Is there a file which is used to set the paths? Hi,
This kind of problem usually comes from Apache which is not
configured by default to read the .htaccess files. In the
httpd.conf file, you have to find the lines:
<Directory /var/www>
AllowOverride None
(there might be some comments between the two lines...)
And you change None by All, and restart Apache.
That should do it !
